Thanks for celebrating NSBD with EVSG!

A great big THANK YOU goes out to all of the ladies who joined EVSG in celebrating National Scrapbook Day. I don't know about ya'll, but I had a great time! It was sure fun meeting so many new people, and I always enjoy spending time with our EVSG friends. It is truly amazing how fast time flies. It hardly seemed like we had gotten our scrappin' stuff out before it was time to pack it in again. There were some amazingly beautiful things completed in our short time.

Ms. Thelma has got to be one of the best paper folding artists I've ever seen. You should have seen her beautiful cards (when I'm 80 I want to be craftin' just like her). Ruth made beautiful and memorable mother's day charm bracelets for herself and her daughter. And Brooke has managed to complete two more decades in her quest to make a scrapbook for her grandparents - Go Brooke! And talk about being caught up...I was seriously impressed with Theresa's organizational skills and her scrapbooking speed. She is inspirational. Anyways, thanks to each and everyone of you who were able to come. You are welcome to check out the photos I took. I've posted them to my Picasa Site -- EVSG's Giant Crop for NSBD.

Now as those who attended know, we were treated to a FABULOUS lunch catered by Kelly. Her pasta salad was DELICIOUS and she did share with me her recipe. So for all of you who requested it...

Kelly's Fruity Chicken Pasta Salad

8 C. pasta (use three or four different shaped pasta - bow tie, spiral, etc.)
2 C. grapes - red or green
4 C. chicken - cooked and chopped into chunks
2 small cans of Mandarin Oranges
1-2 cans Pineapple Tidbits
2-3 stalks of celery - chopped small
1-2 C. diced apple
1 C. sliced or slivered almonds - toasted
1 jar Marzetti's Coleslaw dressing mixed with about 1 C. Mayo
* Mix all together and serve. You can actually put any fruit in this salad that you like.

If you would like to have Kelly cater your next get together or shin-dig you are welcome to contact her at: kellyschaub@hotmail.com, or call her at (480) 201-1083. She always makes the most delicious food.

Please check back with EVSG as I'm planning on putting together another crop for this summer.
